The Ultimate Survivalist Library
Greetings GIMers. I'm a newbie that's been lurking in here for a few weeks waiting for a chance to post.
I've recently gotten to a place in life where being prepared for all kinds of bizarre SHTF scenarios has taken on a newfound importance. (I thank in part, Mega Disasters on The History Channel.) Anyway, I'd like to assemble a fairly comprehensive Survival library. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has a title they consider a "must read". I'm an Eagle Scout by the way, so I've already got the BSA Fieldbook covered. I don't currently have a good "bug out" plan, but I have been stockpiling some supplies in my home and I've been buying PMs. I've got by Joel Skousen on my Amazon Wishlist. Any thoughts on this book? I hope it turns out to be an appropriate starting point. All advice and suggestions are appreciated. Happy New Year to all. |

"Buckskin Book for Buckskin Men and Boys" its old but still a good book, kinda hard to find though, The Fox Fire Books are good resources also.

Re: The Ultimate Survivalist Library
Thanks a lot for all the great suggestions...
I see a lot of titles that look really interesting - especially Where There Is No Doctor, Dentist. I'd agree that those sound like pretty practical books to have disaster scenario or no. All the input is much appreciated. |
